About KBResize.com
KBResize.com does one job: it turns a photo, scan or signature into a file that fits a size limit in KB, the kind that online application forms, portals and email systems impose. You type the limit; the tool does the trial and error.
How we build it
- The limit is a guarantee, not a target. Every file is measured after it is created, and one that is over the maximum is never offered for download.
- Honest about KB. We show the exact number of bytes, the 1,024-byte and the 1,000-byte readings, and by default we satisfy both.
- No filler bytes. When a file has to be bigger, we raise the quality or add real pixels. We never pad a file with empty data to reach a minimum.
- Your images stay on your device. Resizing runs in your browser; images are never uploaded. We use privacy-conscious analytics only to see which pages are used. See the privacy page.
- Tested. The size-search logic has automated tests, and every tool on the site is checked in a real browser with generated test photos, including files rotated by the camera’s orientation tag.
